Advancing cardiac care at Japan’s largest CTO center, where cutting-edge techniques meet expert care for complex coronary interventions.
The Toyohashi Heart Center in Japan is widely recognized as one of the leading centers for the treatment of chronic total occlusion (CTO) of the coronary arteries. Directed by innovators such as Dr. Takahiko Suzuki and Dr. Etsuo Tsuchikane, the center has played a key role in the evolution of advanced CTO-PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention) techniques, including the development and first demonstrations of specialized guidewires, the parallel wire technique, and retrograde approaches.
PROFESSIONAL COLLABORATION AND TRAINING WITH SEOUL ST. MARY’S HOSPITAL, KOREA, UNDER LEADING CARDIOLOGISTS DR. KIYUK CHANG AND DR. BYUNG HEE HWANG.
We recently performed a successful pacemaker implantation on a 100-year-old patient, a powerful reminder that age is never a barrier to receiving quality care or living a fuller life.
At our heart center, we believe every stage of life is worth celebrating. With personalized care and advanced technology, we support our elderly patients with the same dedication and hope we offer to all.
This procedure gave our patient a safer heartbeat, improved energy, and renewed confidence to enjoy everyday moments. It reflects our core values:
Caring for the elderly with dignity
Respecting the value of life at every age
Believing it’s never too late to live your best life
If you or a loved one is facing heart rhythm issues, know that care is always possible at any age.
Because every heartbeat matters.
Meeting with the Pulmonary Thrombectomy team from the US and Singapore to exchange insights on the latest devices and advancements in cardiovascular interventions. Collaborations like these help us bring cutting-edge care to our patients.
Geri Care Hospital achieves a breakthrough with Tamil Nadu’s first successful use of the Inari FlowTriever device, a mechanical thrombectomy performed on an 85-year-old patient with acute pulmonary embolism. This life-saving intervention was made possible by Dr. Selvakumar Chinakkannan, Senior Interventional Cardiologist, proving that age is never a barrier to advanced care.
Featured in The Hindu, our team’s use of advanced mechanical thrombectomy for a high-risk pulmonary embolism case highlights the power of innovation in elderly care. When standard treatments posed risks, precision intervention made the difference.
